It is estimated that approximately 30% of the population 65 years and older experience xerostomia (dry mouth) and salivary gland hypofunction (SGH)¹. Dry mouth is one of the most common adverse effects of medication use in older adults. According to Web MD-More than 400 medications today cause dry mouth.²
